Welcome to the inaugural Scottsdale Fahrenheit Festival, a one of a kind event for arms, legs and kegs that will leave you thirsty for more. Produced by the owners of the Bentley Scottsdale Polo Championships, the most attended polo event in the country, it promises to be a new summer spectacle like Arizona has never seen.
So whether you want to see all that arms, legs and kegs have to offer, or just want to get out of the heat, there’s no better place to be in Scottsdale/Phoenix on June 16th than the Scottsdale Fahrenheit Festival. View the complete even schedule here!

Friday, June 15th – Pre-Event Day
Blue Coyote Cantina at Talking Stick Resort
6:00pm - Weigh-ins begin for Arizona Arm Wrestling Competition competitors.
7:00pm - Weigh-ins begin for all other arm wrestling competitors for Saturday event.
7:30pm - The Arizona Arm Wrestling Competition begins on main stage.
9:00pm - Competition ends.
9:15pm - Awards given and winners announced.
10:00pm - End of weigh-ins for Saturday event.
Saturday, June 16th - The Scottsdale Fahrenheit Festival

11:00am - Doors open for main event.
- First 500 kids get free box of hot tamales.
- All athletes head to designated registration areas and must re-sign waivers.
- Music provided by DJ Peabody and Whiskey’s Quicker rock band.
- World’s Tallest Waterslide open all day.
- All day fire performances from Burden Blossom, known as the human Fire Breathing Dragon
- Live charcoal drawings by Ashley Macias
- Fast Pitch competition begins.
11:15am - Arm Wrestling competition begins.
12:00pm - Open registration for beat the heat race begins.
1:00pm - Jalapeno Eating Contest entrants gather at their seating stations.
1:00pm - Scottsdale Firefighters Arm Wrestling Competition
1:15pm - Jalapeno Eating Contest Begins.
1:20pm - Jalapeno Eating Contest ends. (5-minute competition) Winners identified and awards given.
2:00pm - Fast Pitch Competition ends. Winners are evaluated.
2:10pm - Awards given to Fast Pitch competition winners.
2:30pm - Race athlete announcements to group.
2:42pm - Racers prayer
2:47pm - Race is launched / Gun goes off.
The World’s Greatest Arm Wrestler Offers The Biggest Purses In The Sport
Registering is the name of the game to compete for the most money one of your hands can hold. It will cost you $50 to register to arm wrestle for each hand, or $100 total. Winners in ANY of the three weight classes – 179 pounds and under, 180-209 and over 209 pounds – will square off in Scottsdale, Arizona on June 16th. Scottsdale Beat The Heat is the Ultimate Challenge
The Summer Solstice is June 21st. The hottest day ever recorded in the Phoenix Metropolitan area was June, 26, 1990 at 122 degrees. Scottsdale Beat The Heat is the Ultimate Challenge. Join us for this one-of-a-kind 10.22k/5k Race and Walk. The race happened once before. In 2013, an Ethiopian Olympian called it "the hottest race he'd ever run."
So who's brave enough? Fit enough? Ready enough to join us on an amazing course through Scottsdale's greatest sights? For the hottest race on earth. Registration includes commemorative t-shirt and medal!
We're not starting at sunrise. Or in the morning. Or even at high noon. At 2:42 pm we'll start with the Racer's Prayer and National Anthem. We'll begin at 2:47 pm, the time when, once upon a time, the thermometer struck 122... degrees.
