Good News: DIY Prom

High school senior Rachel Chapman, who’d been babysitting 7-year-old Curtis Rogers for nearly a year, was devastated to learn that her prom and commencement ceremony would be cancelled due to the COVID-19 virus. Without missing a beat, her young charge insisted on throwing a socially distanced “mini-prom” for his beloved nanny in their backyard. When Rachel arrived for the “prom,” Curtis was ready with a snazzy suit to match her dress and a feast of Chick-Fil-A. After dancing six feet apart, the duo toasted each other with a glass of juice. “I planned it out because Rachel is one of our favorite people and Rachel’s like the best nanny ever,” beamed young Curtis.
