There are several grassy sections with multiple shaded areas, veranda seating with a view of the pool area, party island with seating at the lazy river, and a Public Art Component.
The fitness center has machine weights, dumbbells, and cardiovascular machines. A variety of fitness, aerobic and leisure education classes as well as nutritional and wellness classes are also offered. The City of Scottsdale operates the McDowell Mountain Ranch Park & Aquatic Center.
