With the Phoenix Suns playing for an NBA championship, basketball fans all around the world are learning more about the Valley and its team.
The Suns, which currently lead the best-of-seven series against the Milwaukee Bucks, are in the Finals for the first time since 1993. Since then the NBA’s presence and popularity around the globe has grown.
The 2021 NBA Finals is being broadcast to 215 countries and territories and in 59 different languages. While the NBA doesn’t have records of the 1993 Finals, in 1998 the Finals reached fans in 175 countries in 41 languages.
