SALT RIVER WILD HORSE MANAGEMENT GROUP

SRWHMG is an Arizona-based nonprofit organization dedicated to monitor, study and protect the Salt River wild horses in the Tonto National Forest. We monitor each horse and record changes within the herd, noting behavior, birth and death rates and migrating patterns. We operate an emergency hotline, and when necessary, rescue and rehabilitate suffering and injured horses. We currently give sanctuary to six rescued Salt River wild horses who have made amazing recoveries from near-fatal injuries. We recently started emergency feed stations throughout the Tonto National Forest as a result of record breaking droughts. Please join our important mission.
